Mustang Extreme Environmental Services Celebrates 15 Years of Service in the Marcellus Shale Region
Fairmont, West Virginia – Mustang Extreme Environmental Services, a leader in environmental containment, custom water treatment, and site access matting is pleased to share that we are celebrating our 15th year of service in the Marcellus Shale region.

Celebrating 15 Years of Community, Safety, Efficiency and Excellence
Mustang Extreme’s history in the Marcellus Shale region dates to the beginning of the boom in 2009. In the 15 years since commencing operations, we have been supporting the local economy:
- Investing more than $25 million in annual spend with local companies.
- Contributing Nearly $12 million in the West Virginia resident payroll
- Adding more than $3 million per annum in capital investment with local companies.
- Employing close to 85 employees in the state, with an additional headcount planned for 2024.
- Contributing significant employer and operational related taxes to the West Virginia budget.
Our history in the region began with a request from a customer we had been supporting in the Barnett. The oil and gas industry was just developing in the Northeast and skilled workers were hard to find, so our crews traveled back and forth from our operation in Oklahoma. As the industry grew, permanent operations were established in West Virginia.
As the market has gone through its ups and downs, Mustang’s presence has and continues to remain strong, and we are proud to be celebrating 15 years of success in the region.
