EXPERIENCE BUILT BY THE BILLIONS

A Half Mile of Composite Mats Provide Access Through the Mud for Substation Installation Work

To reach a substation installation in Wharton, TX, a half mile of mats were used to create an access road for our customer who had encountered challenging terrain once the Texas rains came through. Previously solid soil was now deep mud, and customer trucks were getting stuck. After multiple equipment shutdowns and delays, client reached out to Mustang for a solution.

The Mustang crew mobilized and installed mats in a horseshoe pattern around the client’s battery installation site. Additional mats were used for an attached square work pad, and for truck turnaround areas.

This way the client was able to drive right up to each installation point. Equipment could deliver, unload and install heavy battery units, without sinking in the mud.
